Milan are keen to renew Christian Pulisic’s contract, but talks have stalled for now as the American winger reportedly wants guarantees that the club will qualify for the Champions League this season.

Milan are prepared to extend Pulisic’s contract beyond 2027, but according to Calciomercato.com, talks between the two parties are stalling.

Milan expert Daniele Longo reports that the club and the player are facing the matter without much pressure, given that Pulisic’s current deal runs out in June 2027 and that the club has an option to extend for a further campaign.

Milan have total trust in Pulisic and are determined to reward the ex-Chelsea star for his performances by raising his salary from €4.4m to €5.5m per season.

According to the report, Milan were ready to offer Pulisic a new deal before the end of the 2024-25 campaign, but Pulisic was disappointed by the team’s results and wanted to wait for the appointment of a new coach.

Massimiliano Allegri’s recruitment surely matched the player’s expectations, but Pulisic wants to play Champions League football next season, so he won’t sign a new contract just yet.

Staying at San Siro remains his priority and for now neither the player nor the club are in a hurry to sign a new deal.
