Roma need a victory to stay top of the table, but opt for Matias Soulé as a False 9 with Tommaso Baldanzi and Lorenzo Pellegrino against Jamie Vardy’s giant-killers Cremonese.

It kicks off at the Stadio Giovanni Zini at 14.00 GMT.

The Giallorossi went into the break for international duty as joint leaders with Inter, and know that Napoli already won yesterday, so it’s the pressure is on.

There’s an injury crisis to deal with, missing Paulo Dybala, Artem Dovbyk, Leon Bailey, Angelino and Mario Hermoso, while Evan Ferguson is not at 100 per cent.

It leaves them with no strikers, so Gian Piero Gasperini opts for Soulé as a False 9, supported by Baldanzi and Pellegrini.

Zeki Celik had been expected to drop back into defence, returning Wesley to his natural role on the right and bringing in Kostas Tsimikas on the left.

Instead, the wing-backs remain the same, with Jan Ziolkowski given his second start of the season, hoping this one lasts longer than 30 minutes.

Cremonese have shown themselves to be giant-killers this season, already defeating AC Milan, holding Como, Udinese and Atalanta to draws.

They lost the last two to Juventus and Pisa, so are eager to get back on track.

Alberto Grassi, Alessio Zerbin, Mikayil Faye, Faris Moumbagna and Michele Collocolo are out injured.

Former Leicester City legend Vardy leads the attack with Federico Bonazzoli, while Emil Audero is in goal.
