RB Leipzig will once again be without Romulo when they face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

The Brazilian striker has missed the last three games due to a knee problem and is not yet ready to return, Leipzig coach Ole Werner confirmed on Thursday.

Werner revealed that Romulo is “back on the pitch, able to increase his workload, and has handled it well.”

He added that he is optimistic Romulo could be “an option again for the upcoming tasks,” but didn’t want to make any guarantees.

“For now, the signs are more positive than in recent weeks, and things are moving in the right direction,” Werner said.

On the bright side for Leipzig, Johan Bakayoko is expected to return to the squad after missing Tuesday’s 3-1 DFB-Pokal win over FC Magdeburg.
