With the 14th matchday of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season in the books, Bulinews Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has selected his Team of the Week, which lines up in a 4-3-3 formation:

Goalkeeper:

Daniel Batz, Mainz

The 34-year-old has impressed after being given the chance in the Mainz goal, and Sunday’s game against Bayern was no exception. Batz made a total of eight saves including an impressive reflex stop to deny a header from Harry Kane helping Mainz earn a sensational point at the Allianz Arena.

Defenders:

Christopher Trimmel, Union Berlin

The Union Berlin captain made a real difference off the bench, providing an excellent cross for his side’s winner and working tirelessly, winning both of his duels for the ball.

Leopold Querfeld, Union Berlin

A rock-solid performance from the centre-back, who won an impressive 14 of 15 duels for the ball.

Robert Andrich, Bayer Leverkusen

Playing at the back, the Bayer 04 captain had a very solid game, scoring a goal, completing 93 percent of his passes and winning 75 percent of his duels.

Jamie Leweling, Stuttgart

Operating as a left wing-back, Leweling stole the show for Stuttgart against Werder with a goal and two assists.

Midfielders:

Aleix Garcia, Bayer Leverkusen

Reliable as ever, the Spaniard controlled the midfield, completing 98 percent of his passes including setting up a goal.

Grischa Prömel, Hoffenheim

Once again stepped up for Hoffenheim, contributing both a goal and an assist in their 4-1 thrashing of Hamburger SV.

Bilal El Khannouss, Stuttgart

Scored a well-taken header and provided two key passes in Stuttgart’s convincing win over Werder.

Strikers:

Ritsu Doan, Eintracht Frankfurt

Capped off a fine performance with the winner in Eintracht’s 1-0 victory over Augsburg. Completed two dribbles and made three key passes.

Martijn Kaars, St. Pauli

Bagged a brace to guide St. Pauli to a vital three points against relegation rivals Heidenheim.

Patrick Wimmer, Wolfsburg

Stepped up with two goals as Wolfsburg beat Gladbach to secure their second consecutive win.
