Schlotterbeck and Guirassy clash in dressing room with Dortmund “on the verge of a crisis”

According to Bild, Nico Schlotterbeck and Serhou Guirassy had a heated argument in the dressing room following Borussia Dortmund’s draw with Freiburg.

Tempers reportedly flared in the Borussia Dortmund dressing room following their 1-1 draw with Freiburg on Sunday.

According to Bild, Nico Schlotterbeck and Serhou Guirassy were involved in a heated argument. 

The report suggests that, just like after the recent 2-2 draw against Bodø/Glimt – when Schlotterbeck indirectly criticized Guirassy and Karim Adeyemi – he again blasted his team’s performance, but without naming anyone specifically. 

This apparently did not sit well with Guirassy, who told Schlotterbeck that issues should be addressed more clearly and directly, with players confronted individually.

The German tabloid has also reported of ongoing problems at management level, with CEO Carsten Cramer, president Hans-Joachim Watzke and advisor Matthias Sammer reportedly not fully convinced by the current setup of Lars Ricken as managing director for sport and Sebastian Kehl as sporting director.

Meanwhile, Kicker recently described a “diffuse emotional state” at the club, warning that Dortmund could be “on the verge of a crisis.”
