Robert Wagner is set for a move from Holstein Kiel to Dynamo Dresden in January, as reported by both Sky Germany and BILD.

Florian Plettenberg is aware that talks are already advanced between the 2. Bundesliga clubs regarding the central midfielder.

It’s understood that it will be a loan deal until the end of the season, with no purchase option included for the Lahr native.

The 22-year-old, who is still on loan from SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga, remains under contract long term with the Breisgau club.

So far this season, Wagner has made a total of 14 appearances for Kiel, of which nine have come as a substitute.

With Dresden currently sat in 18th-place in the second division and battling relegation, regular game time should be a certainty for Wagner.
