West Ham have completed a transfer move for 19-year-old Brazilian winger Alysson in a deal worth approximately £11 million. The Apucarana-born forward has impressed Villa’s board sufficiently to wrap up a deal swiftly in the transfer window, and Alysson will be available for the club’s remaining games this season and adds depth to Unai Emery‘s squad.
Emery has asked for reinforcements as the club continue to impress in Europe and the Premier League, and Alysson had been a target for several Spanish clubs including Getafe and French outfit Marseille.
Operating primarily as a right winger, Alysson only recently signed a deal with Gremio, so Villa have moved quickly to secure his signature. It is understood that performances in the CBF Brasileiro under-20 caught Aston Villa‘s eye a transfer deal was pushed through based upon those games.
Gremio will also receive 20 percent of any future transfer fee for Alysson, should the Brazilian go on to move away from Aston Villa. A further $1 million will also be possible should the winger play for Brazil’s national side at least once.
