Antoine Semenyo is set to be one of the big stories of the month, with Manchester City poised to complete a deal for the Bournemouth winger, beating a host of rivals from across the Premier League for the Ghana international star.

But Semenyo is unlikely to be the only big star on the move. Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United all spent big in the summer, yet each of these giants is likely to be active in the market as they scramble to strengthen their position to achieve their aims for the 2025/26 season.

January is typically quieter than the summer, but this mid-season window can make or break campaigns, with PSG’s smart signing of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli a prime example of a deal that elevated a team and propelled them to glory.

Here are all the deals from 2 January that clubs hope will have a similar impact.
