Details surrounding the loan agreement between Milan and Genoa for Lorenzo Colombo have emerged on Thursday, and the latest updates reveal that the 23-year-old striker is just two league goals away from making his transfer permanent.

Colombo needs two goals to secure €10m move away from Milan

Colombo is a product of Milan’s academy, and has been on the Rossoneri books since he was eight years old.

He has made just five top-flight appearances for Milan, and has spent the last five seasons away from San Siro with loans to Cremonese, SPAL, Lecce, Monza, Empoli and most recently, Genoa.

Colombo sealed his move to Genoa at the end of July, and has since gone on to net three top-flight goals in 17 appearances. He and his teammates find themselves in 17th place in the Serie A table as things stand.

Colombo’s loan deal includes an option to buy, which will become an obligation if certain conditions are met. According to updates from Sky Sport Italia, the obligation to buy clause will be triggered if Colombo reaches five Serie A goals in 2025-26.

That means that he is just two goals away from joining Genoa on a permanent basis, which will cost the Grifone a reported fee of €10m.
