Toronto FC have made a £13.4million offer for Norwich City forward Josh Sargent.

The 25-year-old informed manager Philippe Clement that he did not wish to play against Walsall ahead of their 5-1 FA Cup win on Sunday.

The USA international is keen to return to the MLS and be closer to family but Clement insists he should not be sold this window.

‘I want to be short about that. He sent me a message yesterday evening that he was not available to play today because of transfer things that are in his head,’ said Clement post-match. ‘The club has been really clear about that so he will not leave this transfer window.’

Talks will continue this week.
