- Jess Cooney-Cross diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma
Matildas star Kyra Cooney-Cross has revealed her mother married her ‘soulmate’ in hospital following her heartbreaking cancer diagnosis.
Cooney-Cross, 23, took to Instagram on Tuesday, posting two photos from hospital where the wedding took place.
Jess Cooney-Cross – a mother of four – was recently diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of bile duct cancer called cholangiocarcinoma.
There is no known cure.
‘My beautiful mum and my amazing stepdad got married at the hospital on 15/1/26 after being engaged for four years,’ the Arsenal midfielder’s post began.
‘The ceremony was perfect and beautiful, but also heartbreaking. I’ve never seen a love as pure and genuine as theirs, truly one in a million. They are without a doubt soulmates.
