The 2026 January transfer window is close to reaching its conclusion and clubs across world football are now ramping up negotiations over last-minute deals.
Chelsea are keen to finalise deals for Stade Rennais defender Jeremy Jacquet and Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz, Tottenham are in talks over a surprise transfer for Liverpool legend Andy Robertson and Aston Villa are close to signing Tammy Abraham.
A host of top clubs are expected to be active in the market before the winter window closes on 2 February, even though January spending is usually far more limited than during the summer.
Several high-profile transfers have already been announced since the beginning of the window earlier this month, and a number of others are set to be completed before Deadline Day.
For example, Manchester City have signed both Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guehi, Conor Gallagher has joined Tottenham Hotspur, Pascal Gross has returned to Brighton & Hove Albion and Lyon have completed the loan signing of Real Madrid forward Endrick.
Meanwhile, Brennan Johnson has signed for Crystal Palace, AS Roma have landed Donyell Malen and Robinio Vaz, and Facundo Buonanotte has joined Leeds United on loan after Chelsea terminated his temporary deal in west London.
