Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool should all be paying close attention to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia‘s situation at PSG.

The Georgia international was once one of Europe’s most in-demand players. He led Napoli to the Scudetto in 2023 with an MVP season and played a huge role as they again won Serie A last term.

However, he was not present for the full campaign. Having been forced to stay at the club in the summer, he handed in a transfer request in January and belatedly secured a move to long-standing admirers PSG.

The Parisians paid a whopping €70 million for the tricky winger, and this fee has since risen to €80m due to bonuses. Kvaratskhelia helped the Ligue 1 giants win a historic treble in 2024/25, including a first-ever Champions League.

Despite this initial success, questions are now being raised over Kvaratskhelia, a year on from his big-money move. According to L’Equipe, the 25-year-old is facing an inquest from his teammates.

Kvaratskhelia is struggling at PSG

The French outlet claims that PSG’s stars are frustrated with the Georgian’s performances. He is accused of too often making the wrong decisions and of playing for himself rather than the team.

His return of nine goals and six assists in 33 games is okay, but nothing to write home about. The report notes that head coach Luis Enrique has done Kvaratskhelia no favours by playing him on the right.

He is much more effective when he plays on the left and can cut inside. He has failed to have the same kind of impact on the other flank, and it has affected his confidence, attitude and overall play.

The publication emphasises that the situation has not developed into a real problem yet – and Kvaratskhelia has not complained about being used on the right – but the frustration in the dressing room is palpable.

Indeed, it is believed that Ousmane Dembele may have targeted Kvaratskhelia with his rant after a loss to Stade Rennais last month, when he accused his teammates of failing to play as a collective.

There is no suggestion of any genuine unrest at PSG yet, but the situation is worth keeping an eye on. After all, many of the Premier League’s biggest clubs are likely to be in the market for a left-winger this summer.

According to data from analytics firm SciSports, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd would all be ideal destinations for the 25-year-old. Gabriel Martinelli is facing an uncertain future at Arsenal, while Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens have yet to consistently perform at Chelsea.

Liverpool will surely sign at least one new winger this summer, with Mohamed Salah likely to leave and Cody Gakpo having been widely criticised for his performances this term. Man Utd, too, are looking to sign left winger, as confirmed by interim boss Michael Carrick this week.
