Gravenberch signs new contract

Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has officially put pen to paper on a new long-term contract until 2032, the club have announced.

“I feel really, really good,” Gravenberch said. “I was really proud to extend my contract at such a big club. So, I’m really happy that I can stay for many more years.

“I felt directly the trust from the club, also from the manager. The decision for me was easy to make. My family is also happy here. We are now here almost three years, so I know everything already. I’m happy that I’m here.”

Liverpool keen on Banjaqui

Liverpool are among the clubs interested in Benfica youngster Daniel Banjaqui, according to A Bola.

The teenage right-back has emerged as a massive prospect at the Lisbon club, making three senior appearances since being handed his first-team debut by Jose Mourinho.

However, Liverpool are likely to face a tall task if they wish to sign him this summer, as Banjaqui is poised to extend his Benfica contract, which will bump his €30 million release clause up to €80m.

Diomande to replace Salah

Liverpool have chosen RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande as their preferred long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, according to Sky Germany.

The Ivory Coast international is likely to cost around €100m this summer, but that is unlikely to deter the Anfield club as they seek to upgrade their options out wide.

Data from analytics firm SciSports shows that the 19-year-old has the potential to reach similar heights as Salah, who is expected to move to Saudi Arabia this summer.

Kvaratskhelia to become an option?

Liverpool will also surely have been alerted to the situation of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is facing increasing scrutiny at PSG, according to L’Equipe.

The Georgian’s teammates are growing frustrated with his performances, and while it hasn’t yet developed into a major problem, it has affected his attitude and confidence.

Liverpool are long-standing admirers of the 25-year-old, having previously looked into a deal to sign him before he ended up moving from Napoli to PSG.

Klopp speculation baseless

The agent of Jurgen Klopp, Marc Kosicke, has dismissed the ceaseless speculation surrounding the future of the former Liverpool manager as baseless.

Klopp has been linked with a potential return to Anfield as well as with the managerial positions at Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. The latter came in the wake of claims that Diego Simeone could move on in the summer and join Inter.

However, contrary to some reports, Klopp remains content with his position as the Head of Global Football at Red Bull and is not planning to return to coaching anytime soon.
