Chelsea make Pavlovic move

Chelsea have made an “initial move” to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic, according to Fichajes.

The Blues are looking to add another midfielder to their ranks and have earmarked the Germany international as an option with a significant ceiling. Pavlovic is being closely monitored by Chelsea scouts.

However, Bayern Munich have no interest in selling their homegrown star and would demand at least €100 million for the 21-year-old. Signing another midfielder could have serious repercussions for some of Chelsea’s current options.

Second source confirms Santos interest

One player who would be greatly affected by the arrival of a new midfielder would be Andrey Santos, who is being monitored by Man Utd and Juventus, according to NTVASCAINOS.

The Brazilian outlet has corroborated reports from England that Man Utd are the frontrunners to sign the 21-year-old. Despite his importance to Liam Rosenior, Santos is not considered untouchable.

His former club Vasco da Gama have a vested interest in the midfielder making a move as they retain a 2.5% sell-on clause, meaning that they would receive a financial windfall if he were to leave Chelsea.

Simons on the market?

Long-time Chelsea target Xavi Simons could leave Tottenham after just one season, Nicolo Schira claims.

The Netherlands international was the subject of a lengthy transfer saga last summer. Chelsea were in talks to sign him for weeks, but refused to meet RB Leipzig’s asking price.

Simons ultimately joined Tottenham with the ambition of regularly playing in the Champions League. However, with the club now battling relegation, he could jump ship after just 12 months.

Chelsea interested in Diaby

Chelsea are among the clubs interested in Al-Ittihad winger Moussa Diaby, according to Fussball Daten.

The former Aston Villa attacker was keen to leave his Saudi club in January when Inter tried to sign him, but Al-Ittihad refused to allow him to leave. Diaby is now expected to return to Europe in the summer.

Chelsea are not the only side keen on him, however. Liverpool, Newcastle and Tottenham are also credited with an interest in the France international.

Chelsea to hand Estevao a bumper new deal

Chelsea are poised to reward Estevao’s rapid acclimatisation to the Premier League with a new contract, according to AS.

The young Brazilian is viewed as a “commercial goldmine” and could have a similar impact on the club as Eden Hazard. The Blues, therefore, want to make sure that he feels valued.

Meanwhile, in-form Brentford striker Igor Thiago announced that he would love to play alongside the young Chelsea winger, giving rise to some speculation that he could head to Stamford Bridge.
