While AC Milan anxiously await the result of tests on the Christian Pulisic injury, there is more reassuring news from Alexis Saelemaekers and Pervis Estupinan.

The Rossoneri were not happy with the break for international duty, as it saw three of their players pick up fresh injury problems.

International break not kind to AC Milan

Pulisic is expected to miss this weekend’s Serie A match against Fiorentina after limping off with a hamstring issue during the USMNT game against Australia.

Sky Sport Italia warn that the initial reports point to a femoral bicep issue and a lesion would mean several weeks on the treatment table.

He is set to undergo tests at the Milanello complex on Thursday, at which point they will have a better idea of his status.

Estupinan sat in the stands for Colombia’s most recent outing due to an ankle issue, while Santiago Gimenez has also returned early from his time with Mexico.

At least there is some good news for Milan coach Max Allegri, because Saelemaekers was released early from international duty with Belgium due to a muscular injury.

However, the strain was less serious than previously feared, and Sky Sport Italia are not ruling him out of Sunday’s showdown with Fiorentina.
