AC Milan verbal agreement with Liverpool for Gomez, close in on Wolfsburg defender

Milan have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Liverpool for Joe Gomez and are close to securing the services of David Odogu from Wolfsburg.

Milan are expected to complete several signings on deadline day, especially in defence.

Milan close to signing Gomez and Odogu

Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Rossoneri have a verbal agreement with Liverpool for Gomez.

Milan have virtually signed the English defender, but Liverpool are waiting for Marc Guéhi’s transfer from Crystal Palace to be finalised formally before allowing Gomez to join the Rossoneri.

In the meantime, according to Sky Sport and Fabrizio Romano, Milan are also close to signing David Odogu from Wolfsburg.

Busy deadline day for Milan

Odogu, 19, has so far collected three appearances with the Wolfsburg senior team.

Milan will also welcome Adrien Rabiot today as the Frenchman is undergoing medical tests in France, while Yunus Musah will join Atalanta, and Alex Jimenez has already signed with Premier League side Bournemouth.
