Agent DROPS £3million court case over Kurt Zouma’s move from Chelsea to West Ham – but will continue to pursue former Blues director Marina Granovskaia

Agent Saif Rubie has dropped his £3million court case against Chelsea linked to Kurt Zouma’s move to West Ham in 2021.

The representative, however, continues to pursue the club’s former director Marina Granovskaia for the commission connected to the centre back’s switch to the London Stadium.

Rubie was cleared of sending Granovskaia a threatening email in court earlier this year in relation to the Zouma deal and has since opened cases against the Blues and Granovskaia.

But a statement issued by Rubie on Friday read: ‘We have discontinued our High Court action against Chelsea and continue to pursue Miss Granovskaia for her primary role in the breach of contract.’

Mail Sport reported earlier this year that Chelsea had moved to have the court proceedings quashed insisting the case had been filed incorrectly and should be dealt with by the Football Association through an arbitration.

Earlier this year Rubie was acquitted of malicious communications in relation to an email sent to Granovskaia over a sum of money he said he was owed from the Zouma deal.

Rubie believes he is still owed a significant amount after Zouma’s transfer to West Ham 

Chelsea received a total of £29.1million when selling Zouma to their London rivals.

FIFA laws state that an agent acting on behalf of a selling club is entitled to up to 10 percent of the transfer fee.
