Agent reveals he tried to bring Can Uzun to Italy

Italian agent George Gardi has revealed that he made an attempt to bring Eintracht Frankfurt’s Can Uzun to the Serie A a few years ago.

Can Uzun has established himself as a key player for Eintracht Frankfurt in his second season at the club following his move from 1. FC Nürnberg in the summer of 2024.

Before the 20-year-old made the switch to the Eagles, Italian agent a transfer mediator George Gardi apparently tried to bring him to Serie A.

“I really like this player. A few years ago, I tried to bring him to Italy – to some Serie A clubs,” Gardi told Sky Germany.

“I have been following him since his youth. I knew he would perform at a high level, and I also closely watched him last year.”

Gardi added that he has high expectations for Uzun’s future development.

“I have great respect for him. I am convinced that he will continue to develop and can become one of the strongest players in Europe.”

Uzun is currently sidelined with a muscle injury that is expected to keep him out until December.
