Real Madrid have been off the pace this season, losing in the Copa del Rey final and reaching only the quarter-finals of the Champions League, while they are off the pace in LaLiga.

Over the summer, a renovation plan will take place that will see the club sell €200 million worth of talent and buff certain areas of the squad, while Alonso will step into the dugout.

The Bayer Leverkusen head coach has told Real Madrid that he wants Milos Kerkez to sign in the next transfer window, according to Fichajes. With Ferland Mendy’s fitness an issue, Los Blancos are poised for a new left-back and are targeting Bournemouth’s Hungary international, who has also attracted interest in the Premier League, notably from Liverpool.

On top of potentially signing Kerkez, it is expected that Trent Alexander-Arnold will arrive at the Bernabeu from Liverpool, although fresh doubts have emerged over this deal in recent days.

Real Madrid target three big sales

Real Madrid are targeting three major sales this summer in a bid to raise €200m that Alonso might reinvest in the transfer market.

It is an ambitious target from president Florentino Perez, who is ready to let go of first-team starter Rodrygo Goes as well as bench figures Andriy Lunin and Brahim Diaz.

Real Madrid: Projected summer sales

Name Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) Asking price
Andriy Lunin €22.6m €40m
Brahim Diaz €45.3m €60m
Rodrygo Goes €97m €100m
TOTAL €167.6m €200m

Raising such a sum from the deals appears complicated. It is hoped that €100m can arrive from the Rodrygo deal please €60m for Brahim and €40m for Lunin, who Galatasaray is following.

The combined Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of this trio is nearly €170m, so Real Madrid’s target is not too outlandish.
