Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti is loving life with the Seleçao and declares he expects to ‘extend my contract for another four years’ with the Brazil team.

The former Milan, Juventus, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain boss took on his first international job when called by Brazil last summer.

Even before experiencing his first real challenges in the role for the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada, he is already looking to the future.

“It is a new type of work, I was honestly really struck by it,” Ancelotti told Movistar.

“I think that I will renew my contract with Brazil for another four years.”

The plan is therefore to build something ready for the 2030 World Cup, as well as the Copa America in 2028.

The 66-year-old has overseen two victories, one draw and one defeat since signing the contract in May 2025.

Many had been hoping that he would leave the Brazil job and one day take over his own national team, as Italy have struggled under a series of coaches and missed two consecutive editions of the World Cup.
