Reports in Spain suggest that Carlo Ancelotti could be in charge of Brazil for World Cup qualifiers in June, as Real Madrid have lined up Xabi Alonso from Bayer Leverkusen.

The Italian tactician is not expected to stay at the Bernabeu beyond the end of this season, but he could well be leaving even before that.

There are still some suggestions he could be fired if he fails to beat Barcelona in the Copa del Rey Final this weekend.

Ancelotti could be on Brazil bench by June 6

Meanwhile, Relevo insist that Real Madrid will not be keeping Ancelotti for the Club World Cup campaign in the United States of America, which will be played from June to July.

If the departure is that soon, then the Italian could be available to lead Brazil into their crucial World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador on June 6 and Paraguay on June 9.

Although he remains of interest to Roma and Milan, he seems to have made his decision to take over the Selecao.

As for Real Madrid, they have already found their replacement too, because today Bayer Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro confirmed there is a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ to release Xabi Alonso if a club he played for comes calling.
