Despite beating Juventus 4-0 away at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday night, Gian Piero Gasperini still cut a frustrated figure during his post-match press conference, as he got angry and refused to interact with a Sky Sport journalist who had asked about the confidence within the camp.

Mateo Retegui, Marten De Roon, Davide Zappacosta and Ademola Lookman were on the scoresheet as Atalanta put four past Juventus in Turin, inflicting the worst Juventus defeat on home soil since the 1960s

Even though Atalanta received widespread praise for their performance, and despite the fact that they are only three points off the lead with 10 Serie A matches of the 2024-25 season remaining, Gasperini still grew frustrated during his post-match press conference.

Football Italia were among the accredited press for Juventus 0-4 Atalanta.

Gasperini refuses to answer journalist after Juventus 0-4 Atalanta

Gasperini appeared to take issue with Sky Sport correspondent Massimiliano Nebuloni, who said: “I wanted to ask you for your opinion on the performance, and then how much of a boost does a match like tonight give you  in terms of self-esteem and morale?”.

Gasperini effectively refused to respond to Nebuloni’s question, responding: “I have already been clear with you.” After a few moments of confusion, Gasperini dismissed the reporter even further, adding: “Write what you want.”

It remains unclear as to why exactly Gasperini took such an issue to the question, although Nebuloni had also been met by a blunt response from Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman a few weeks ago, who asked “are we done?” after he asked about a falling-out with the coach following the recent 5-0 win over Empoli.
