The Serie A title race looks set to be a thriller again, as the calendar year ends with five teams, Inter, Milan, Napoli, Roma and Juventus, separated by just four points at the top of the league table.

How the Serie A title race looks at the end of 2025

All of the Serie A top five ended the calendar year victorious.

Inter are sitting pretty at the top of the league table with 36 points from their first 16 games of the season. A lone goal from Lautaro Martinez gave them a handy 1-0 victory in a tough match away against Atalanta on Sunday evening.

Milan claim second place with 35 points from 16 matches. A Christian Pulisic goal and a brace from Christopher Nkunku handed them a 3-0 win at home against Hellas Verona on Sunday afternoon.

Reigning champions Napoli currently find themselves in third place on 34 points after 16 league games. A Rasmus Hojlund brace gave them a 2-0 victory away against Cremonese on Sunday.

Roma and Genoa were the final teams involved in Serie A action in 2025. The Giallorossi picked up a 3-1 victory on Daniele De Rossi’s Olimpico homecoming thanks to goals from Matias Soule, Manu Kone, Evan Ferguson and a late consolation from Jeff Ekhator. They move up into fourth place in the Serie A standings with 33 points from 17 matches.

As things stand, Juventus are one point and one position outside of the guaranteed Champions League spots. Goals from Pierre Kalulu and Kenan Yildiz gave them a 2-0 win against Pisa on Saturday, and they now have an encouraging set of fixtures against Lecce, Sassuolo, Cremonese and Cagliari coming up over the next fortnight.
