Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that there is high-profile interest in Antoine Semenyo, but there is no guarantee that Bournemouth will sell him in the summer.

The Ghana international has become one of the Premier League’s most exciting attackers. Semenyo has been crucial to Bournemouth’s surge up the table under Andoni Iraola and his form hasn’t gone unnoticed.

The 25-year-old has attracted the attention of several big hitters in the Premier League. Arsenal and Man Utd have been linked, while it was recently claimed that Tottenham were ready to ‘test the waters’ with an opening €40 million bid.

However, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has sought to pump the brakes on the speculation surrounding Semenyo – and for good reason.

Bournemouth keen to avoid exodus

According to the Italian, Bournemouth are keen to avoid a summer exodus after this hugely successful season, which could yet culminate in European qualification. Iraola’s men currently sit in eighth, five points off the top four.

In-demand left-back Milos Kerkez is keen to leave the Cherries in the summer, while Romano previously stated that wonderkid centre-back Dean Huijsen would be one to watch in the upcoming window.

Liverpool, spearheaded by former Bournemouth director Richard Hughes, Chelsea and Man Utd have been associated with the defensive pair, with transfers for both of them already looking likely at this stage.

Romano insists that Bournemouth will not be willing to sanction more than a couple of high-profile exits, which casts doubt on the possibility of a move for Semenyo.

“Kerkez, Huijsen, Semenyo – many Bournemouth players are attracting interest, but I don’t think they will sell three, four players,” Romano told GIVEMESPORT. “Semenyo has chances to go as interest is there, but it’s not something guaranteed now as the club will try to fight to keep him.”
