Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo used the spotlight of Friday Night Football to showcase his readiness for a big-money move to one of the Premier League’s biggest sides.

All of the Premier League’s biggest clubs have been linked with the 25-year-old in recent times, with Manchester United most closely linked with him during the summer. Nevertheless, Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle and Chelsea have all been associated with him.

Anyone watching his performance against Fulham would understand why.

“It was a hard stormy night to play football but it didn’t matter to Semenyo,” said ex-England midfielder Jamie Redknapp on Sky Sports.

“He just glides across that surface. An incredible, unique talent. So fantastic to see. Doesn’t matter if it’s right foot, left foot, makes no difference for him.”

He drew Bournemouth level with a cheeky finish through Bernd Leno’s legs from a tight angle before sealing the points in stoppage time with an emphatic finish.

For anyone paying attention – and you can bet your bottom dollar the Premier League’s big guns are among those – he has been doing this for months now. Indeed, since the start of May, he’s been involved in more top-flight goals than any other player (12). He already has six Premier League strikes to his name this term.

Although he signed a five-year deal with the Cherries in the summer, ahead of January, the Ghana forward will inevitably be at the heart of more transfer rumours. If he is to leave, where should he go?

Using SciSports’ Career Advice tool, FootballTransfers has drawn up a Power Ranking of his best options from those teams linked with him. This assigns each club a score based on a variety of factors from potential development and playing time to style and formation.

Semenyo’s transfer options

None of the clubs that are interested in Semenyo provide an obviously outstanding opportunity for him, but Newcastle, Arsenal and Manchester City are seen as the best options if he were to move.

All these teams provide him a strong opportunity to develop his game in a formation that fits him nicely, with City’s style considered to be the best for the African star.

SciSports doubts Semenyo’s ability to get playing time at clubs of this calibre, though.

Antoine Semenyo’s Best Transfer Options (SciSports)

Club Club Fit
Bournemouth 80
Newcastle 71
Arsenal 71
Man City 71
Liverpool 67
Man Utd 66
Chelsea 65
Tottenham 62

This is a concern for the right-winger across the board. SciSports says that he has found his level at Bournemouth, which is reflected by the fact that the Cherries earn a Club Fit score of 80.

Interestingly, Aston Villa would fit him like a glove, according to SciSports. The Birmingham side get a Club Fit score of 84 for the wideman, yet Unai Emery’s side are struggling to afford big-money deals and are likely to see Semenyo out of their price range as the January transfer window approaches.

Another wildcard option if he were to move away from the Premier League would be AC Milan, who get an impressive score of 82, while Borussia Dortmund’s mark of 76 also suggests a move to the Bundesliga should be of interest.
