According to Antony, he rejected an offer from Bayern Munich shortly before the transfer window closed.
Antony has revealed that he rejected an approach from Bayern Munich before completing his €25 million move from Manchester United to Real Betis on deadline day.
“I spoke with Bayern, I don’t know if it was [a] €7 million [offer], but I said that I had already given my word to Betis, that the deal was 95% done, and that I would honor my word,” Antony told El Partidazo.
“I feel at peace with this decision because I’m very happy here. More than five clubs called me.”
Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson became Bayern’s deadline-day reinforcement, joining on loan with a purchase option.
