Juventus struggled this evening as they drew 1-1 with a plucky Verona side, a penalty from Gialloblu new boy Gift Orban cancelling out Francisco Conceicao’s opener. Matters have now gone from bad to worse as defender Bremer went down in a post-game warm down.

The game was marred by refereeing controversy, after a soft penalty given against the Bianconeri allowed Verona to snatch a point. Goalscorer Gift Orban was also lucky to stay on the pitch after an elbow to the face of Juventus defender Federico Gatti.

Now, according to reports from PazziDiFanta, Bremer faces a fresh injury set back.

Juventus defender Bremer faces possible injury setback

The Brazilian defender was rested by head coach Igor Tudor for today’s game but as per usual practice, the Bianconeri’s unused players underwent reps on the pitch with their trainers.

During one of these exercises, Bremer collapsed to the ground, complaining of a problem that reports claim appears to be muscular.

This comes as a fresh set back for the Brazilian, who missed most of last season through an ACL injury. Now, just as he returns to form, he may be shifted back to square one.

In the coming hours, Juventus’ medical staff will carefully evaluate the defender’s injury and Tudor will be hoping that it is nothing serious.
