Arne Slot addresses Frimpong transfer speculation

Arne Slot remains tight-lipped as Jeremie Frimpong edges closer to joining Liverpool.

Reports have suggested that Jeremie Frimpong has completed the first part of his medical ahead of a potential move from Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool.

When questioned about the club’s interest in the Dutch full-back, however, Liverpool manager Arne Slot remained tight-lipped.

“What do you think?” he responded when asked on Monday night if he could confirm that the Dutchman has gone through a medical.

“I think we all know that the moment we announce something, that’s when we can speak about it openly. Until then, there’s no need to talk about anyone.”

Liverpool will reportedly trigger a €40 million release clause in Frimpong’s contract to bring him to England.
