Arne Slot confirms ongoing talks with Bayern for Luis Diaz

Luis Diaz was out of Liverpool’s friendly against AC Milan, with a move to Bayern looking likely.

Bayern Munich look very likely to complete the big-money transfer of Luis Diaz after Liverpool’s coach Arne Slot cited “ongoing discussion over his future” for the Colombian winger’s absence in a 4-2 friendly loss to AC Milan.

The two clubs are currently in very positive talks to complete the deal, and Slot’s words further showed the progress made during this week. Diaz came off his first double-digit season in terms of league goals for Liverpool.

Slot added Darwin Nunez’s absence was linked to match fitness instead of transfer talks. The Uruguayan striker’s future could be linked with RB Leipzig as the Reds are the only European club in contention for Alexander Isak’s mega signing. In return, Newcastle United are looking at Benjamin Šeško as a potential replacement for the Swedish international.
