Arsenal and Chelsea find themselves embroiled in a four-club battle for the signature of Samu Aghehowa, according to Portuguese media.
The Porto striker has been in exceptional form since joining last summer. Samu headed to Portugal after a highly-anticipated transfer to Chelsea collapsed at the last minute and he hasn’t looked back since.
Thanks to his goal against Arouca on Monday, the Spaniard has now netted 20 times in 32 outings for Porto, becoming one of just a handful of players in club history who managed to score 20 goals in their debut season. The list includes illustrious names like Falcao and Jackson Martinez.

The 20-year-old has once again put his name on the map and there are suggestions that he could already leave Porto after just a year. A Bola reports that there are four Premier League clubs with a concrete interest in Samu.

Samu to move to England?
The Portuguese outlet claims that Arsenal, Chelsea, Aston Villa and West Ham are all keeping a close eye on Samu’s development at Porto with a view to a potential summer transfer.
Interestingly, the outlet does not mention Man Utd despite their recent links with the Spain international. It had been claimed that the Red Devils have been monitoring him since he made Matthijs de Ligt look like a schoolboy in the Europa League.

Chelsea have retained their interest in Samu after failing to get a deal over the line last summer. The Blues remain in the market for a No.9, although it seems that Ipswich Town forward Liam Delap is their preferred option.
Similarly, Arsenal have different priority targets, chiefly Benjamin Sesko and Alexander Isak. However, Samu could ultimately prove to be a viable alternative.
That said, the youngster won’t come cheap. He boasts a €100 million release clause and even if Porto were to be willing to negotiate, they would still demand a hefty fee considering that former club Atletico Madrid would be owed a sizeable chunk of the money.
