Arsenal and Liverpool monitor Bastoni’s situation at Inter amid Barcelona speculation – March 2 latest

La Liga giants Barcelona aren’t the only club interested in Inter star Alessandro Bastoni, as Arsenal and Liverpool have also ‘explored’ the Italian defender’s situation, according to Caughtoffside.

Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool have set their sights on Inter and Italy star Bastoni.

According to Caughtoffside, Liverpool see Bastoni as a potential replacement for Virgil Van Dijk, while Arsenal feel the Italian defender would suit Mikel Arteta’s playing style.

Previous reports suggested that Barcelona are also interested in Bastoni, and the Catalans’ defender Pau Cubarsí has even publicly praised the 26-year-old.

Bastoni’s contract at San Siro expires in June 2028 and Inter are willing to offer him a new deal until 2030.

Bastoni’s Inter and Italy career

The Italian defender is a regular starter for the Nerazzurri. He has scored two goals and provided six assists in 33 appearances across all competitions this season.

He has also scored three goals in 41 appearances with the Italy national team, winning the 2020 Euros.
