Arsenal not keen on Sesko anymore

Arsenal have reportedly decided against pursuing a deal for Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig this summer.

The Gunners were determined to land the Slovenia international last summer, but he decided to stay at Leipzig.

However, he is widely expected to leave them later this year. Arsenal may not return for his services, as per David Ornstein.

The Gunners are not fully convinced that Sesko can make an instant impact in the Premier League next season.

The London giants want a readymade striker for the manager and prefer to sign Viktor Gyokeres or Alexander Isak.

Talks are underway with the representative of Gyokeres and there is optimism that the Swede can be signed from Sporting CP.

Gyokeres has bagged 44 goals from as many games this campaign. He is said to be tempted by the Arsenal project.

He has a release clause of around £86m in his Sporting CP contract, but could be available for a package of £65m over the summer.
