Arsenal COMPLETE striker signing: ‘It’s already done!’

Arsenal legend Martin Keown believes that his former club have already finalised an agreement to sign a new striker this summer.

The Gunners are widely expected to purchase at least one centre forward during the 2025 summer transfer window, following their failure to achieve this aim last year, and a number of players have been heavily linked with a move to north London.

FootballTransfers has been informed that RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins are both admired by the Arsenal hierarchy, while Newcastle United superstar Alexander Isak is also being pursued by Mikel Arteta.

However, Keown has suggested that Arsenal may have already agreed a deal for a new striker.

“I would suggest that there’s already been a player bought, and that it’s already done from an Arsenal point of view,” Keown speculated on TNT Sports’ YouTube channel. “They won’t be making this mistake again.”

Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus have been Arsenal’s two centre forward options over the past 18 months, but the club are determined to sign a new striker this summer as they look to win the Premier League title for the first time since 2004.

Alexander Isak ‘too expensive’ for Arsenal

While Keown believes Arsenal may have already agreed a deal for a new striker, the ex-Gunners defender also believes that a move for Isak is currently unlikely.

“I think Isak is the obvious answer,” Rio Ferdinand admitted when asked who Arsenal should target this summer.

“He’s actually here in the Premier League, he’s proven in the Premier League, he scores goals against the best teams as well.”

However, Keown quickly snapped back with a reply of: “He’s too expensive.”

Newcastle are reportedly demanding a fee of at least €180m in order to begin discussions over a potential sale this summer, with the club determined to retain the Sweden international as they look to build on their Carabao Cup success.
