Saliba absent from Arsenal training

Arsenal defender William Saliba was not present in training ahead of the Champions League clash against Club Brugge on the road.

The Frenchman has missed the last few games with a minor injury and he is now poised to miss tomorrow’s European game in Bruges.

Sky Sports have confirmed that Saliba did not train with the first-team.

Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard were also absent, but the duo were working indoors and could be involved against Club Brugge.

Arsenal are presently top of the Champions League standings with 15 points, three ahead of the likes of Bayern, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter.

They have an ideal opportunity to rotate the squad after a heavy workload, and manager Mikel Arteta should ring in the changes tomorrow.

The likes of Rice, Trossard, Bukayo Saka and Martin Zubimendi could be rested. Rice’s workload has been extremely high for club and country this season and should feature as a substitute at best on Wednesday.
