Arsenal are reportedly considered favourites to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak amid interest from Barcelona.
The Gunners have had a good campaign in the Premier League, but they are still seven points behind table-toppers Liverpool.
The club have been prone to missing clear-cut chances in some games and they need a more reliable striker than Kai Havertz.
Sport claim that Barcelona have their sights on landing Isak from Newcastle, but they don’t have the funds to afford his services.
The Magpies are expected to demand at least €100m for the Swede and it is unlikely that the Catalan outfit will pay such a fee.
This has put the Gunners in a better position to land his signature, though their chances could depend on Newcastle missing out on the Champions League next term.
If the Magpies were to qualify for the elite European competition, they are more likely to keep Isak in their ranks for another year.
Isak has registered 19 goals in all competitions for Newcastle this term.
