Arsenal open talks with Rodrygo, asking price revealed

Arsenal have held exploratory talks with the agent of Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The Gunners are expected to land a marquee centre-forward this summer, but they could also pursue a versatile winger.

Rodrygo has been heavily linked with the club lately and Jacobs claims that Arsenal have held some talks with his entourage.

The journalist adds that Real Madrid could ask for around €90 million if they decide to part ways with their prized asset.

Rodrygo has predominantly played on the right wing at Los Blancos, but he is more effective from the left wing position.

Last season, he had 12 goal contributions from 30 games on the right wing compared to 12 from as many games (12) on the left.

He is quite clearly better from the left flank. This could urge him to move on as Vinicius Junior is a guaranteed starter in the role at Madrid.

The arrival of Argentine wonderkid Franco Mastantuono is further expected to reduce Rodrygo’s playing time on the right wing next campaign.
