Arsenal are likely to face competition from Manchester United in the race to sign Lille wonderkid Ayyoub Bouaddi next summer, according to Foot Mercato.
The Gunners have been closely monitoring the teenage midfielder in recent months and sporting director Andrea Berta has held talks with the player’s representatives.
Bouaddi has been convinced to make the switch to England, but a deal may not happen until the summer, given Lille have just extended his contract until June 2029.
Arsenal are pushing to sign the Frenchman next summer, but they are likely to face competition from the Red Devils, who are also eyeing a young defensive midfielder.
Bouaddi has been identified as a player with huge potential. He has a tireless work rate, but has also excelled with his recoveries and duel-winning skills too.
He could become a complete player in the next few years due to his sublime technical ability. Hence, Arsenal and United could battle it out for his signature next year.
