Arsenal have been warned that Newcastle United will not engage in talks to sell Alexander Isak unless a bid in excess of €180 million is submitted.

The Sweden international has been heavily linked with a big-money transfer ahead of the 2025 summer window and his future is set to be one of the biggest Premier League talking points over the next few months.

Isak has scored 22 goals and provided five assists in 31 appearances so far this season, and his form has attracted significant transfer interest from the likes of Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea and Liverpool.

All four clubs are long-term admirers of Isak, although Arsenal and Liverpool are currently considered to be the two most likely teams to complete a deal for the 25-year-old this summer.

However, Newcastle have no intention of selling the Sweden star and only an offer of more than €180m would even tempt Eddie Howe’s side into negotiations over a summer transfer.

That is according to GiveMeSport, who claim that Newcastle aren’t planning on selling Isak during the 2025 summer window, with the Magpies eager to retain the Swede, along with fellow key players Bruno Guimaraes and Anthony Gordon.

Arsenal and Liverpool both view Isak as a “dream target”, but they are scouring the globe for potential alternative targets amid Newcastle’s reluctance to consider a sale.

FootballTransfers understands that Benjamin Sesko remains Arsenal’s number one summer target, while Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a potential deal to bring Brighton & Hove Albion’s Joao Pedro to Anfield later this year.

What has been said about Alexander Isak?

Newcastle CEO Darren Eales recently provided a major update on Isak’s future, admitting to reporters: “They’re all under long-term contracts. We have no intention at all of those players being moved on. We’re not under the gun or anything like that.

“As you know, we’ve got an ownership that is ambitious and wants the best for the club. So from that perspective, it would be crazy for us to consider it [selling Isak].”
