Como manager Cesc Fabregas reportedly wants to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga next year.

The 30-year-old only arrived at the Emirates Stadium from Chelsea in July, however Fabregas is eager to finalise a deal in 2026 as he looks to bolster his goalkeeper options at Como.

That is according to a report from SportsBoom, who claim that Fabregas has identified Kepa as his ideal choice to become Como’s new number one goalkeeper.

30-year-old Jean Butez has played every available minute for Como so far this season, however Fabregas is reportedly eager to sign a replacement next year and Kepa has been outlined as his preferred target, despite his summer move to Arsenal.

The former Chelsea goalkeeper enjoyed an excellent season on loan at Bournemouth last year and this prompted Arsenal to complete a €5.8 million transfer.

Kepa has only featured for the Gunners on one occasion since his arrival at the club – in the Carabao Cup versus Port Vale – and he is unlikely to usurp David Raya as Mikel Arteta’s favoured option in between the sticks.

Kepa Arrizabalaga to Como?

Kepa signed a three-year contract upon his arrival at Arsenal this summer and the club view him as an ideal back-up to the aforementioned Raya. As a result, they are unlikely to permit a sale and Como may be forced to pursue an alternative target in 2026.

The Serie A club were heavily linked with a move for Barcelona goalkeeper Inaki Pena over the summer, however a deal failed to materialise and he eventually completed a season-long loan move to Elche in late August.

After failing to land Pena, Como completed the signing of Mjallby AIF goalkeeper Noel Tornqvist for an undisclosed transfer fee, while Dinamo Zagreb’s Nikola Cavlina and Internacional’s Henrique Menke joined the club on loan.
