FootballTransfers exclusively revealed that Newcastle United are eager to sign Ektike as a replacement for Alexander Isak, if the Sweden international leaves the club this summer, while Arsenal are now eyeing a possible deal.

That is according to Sky Sport, who claim that Eintracht Frankfurt will demand a transfer fee of at least €80 million to allow Ekitike to leave the club following the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign.

Arsenal are yet to show signs of “an aggressive approach” for Ekitike, although Sky Sport have revealed that a move to the Premier League is a “dream” for the Frenchman.

Arsenal want a new centre forward

Despite Arsenal’s interest in Ekitike, the Frenchman is far from the only striker being pursued by Mikel Arteta’s side.

The Gunners have reportedly drawn up a seven-man shortlist ahead of the summer window, with the north London giants determined to bring a new centre forward to the club before the new season begins.

FootballTransfers has been informed that RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko remains Arsenal’s top target, while they are also interested in bringing Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins to the club.

In addition, the Gunners are eager to sign Athletic Club’s Nico Williams to bolster their options out wide and they have reportedly reached an agreement with the Spain international.
