Alessandro Bastoni wanted

Arsenal are reportedly set to rival Barcelona and Liverpool in the race to sign Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni during the 2026 summer transfer window.

Rumours in Italy suggest that Bastoni is likely to agree fresh terms with the Serie A giants, however a new contract has not yet been finalised and interest in his services has intensified ahead of the upcoming summer window.

Barcelona have earmarked the 26-year-old as their priority centre-back target for this summer, while Liverpool are also eager to sign him following their failure to sign Marc Guehi last year.

However, both clubs are set to face competition from Arsenal, according to a shock report from CaughtOffside.

Riccardo Calafiori admission

Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori has admitted that he is desperate to return to boyhood club AS Roma.

The Italy international suffered a serious, almost career-ending, injury during his time in Roma’s youth system, which severely hampered his development and although his time at the club ended in disappointing fashion, the 23-year-old wants to rejoin the Italian giants.

“I’d like to return to Roma sooner or later,” Calafiori said on the Supernova podcast. “Obviously, we can’t plan our career now, but yes, I can imagine it. Also, because I left halfway. Everything started out really well: goals, I even had the chance to play a bit more.

“Then, for various reasons, I first went on loan, and then they sold me. It definitely didn’t go as I had hoped, for several reasons. Returning also to celebrate under the Curva Sud? That’s also why.”

Senny Mayulu battle

Arsenal and Chelsea are set to battle for the surprise signing of Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid Senny Mayulu this summer, according to a report.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who has frequently been deployed as an auxiliary number nine in recent months, has been one of PSG’s standout players so far this season, but contract extension talks have stalled and this has ignited interest from a number of top Premier League clubs.

That is according to CaughtOffside, who claim that PSG’s offer to extend Mayulu’s deal until 2030 was rejected by the France U21 international due to salary issues.

His current contract is due to expire in 2027 and his situation is reportedly being closely monitored by Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, while Aston Villa and Newcastle United are known admirers too.

Gabriel Martinelli to be sold?

Arsenal are reportedly ready to sell Gabriel Martinelli if they receive an offer worth €45 million this summer.

The Brazil international has been a regular for the Gunners since his arrival at the club in 2019, but rumours have linked him with a summer exit and it’s believed that a departure could take place amid Arsenal’s pursuit of a new left winger.

Spanish publication Fichajes claim that Barcelona are closely monitoring Martinelli’s situation at Arsenal ahead of this summer, despite the fact they are likely to sign Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford on a permanent deal.

Hansi Flick’s side remain interested in finalising an agreement for Martinelli and they have reportedly been informed that a minimum offer of €45m will be required to sign the Brazil winger.
