Arsenal will aim to keep their rich run of form going in Europe as they welcome Greek outfit Olympiacos to the Emirates Stadium for matchday two in the Champions League

Arsenal are hoping to maintain their 100 per cent record in Europe by making it two wins from two in the Champions League. A 2-0 away win over Athletic Club kick-started Arsenal’s European campaign and they will now see Olympiacos visit the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta’s side are in a rich vein of form following a late 2-1 win over Newcastle at the weekend. Their last-minute triumph over the Magpies put the Gunners within two points of Premier League leaders Liverpool.

Now, this momentum will hopefully be shifted from domestic to European success for Arteta’s men.

Arsenal are unbeaten at home so far this season, with their one defeat in all competitions coming to Liverpool at Anfield in August. Olympiacos boss Jose Luis Mendilibar will be more than aware of the task ahead, but they are also on a pretty perfect run this campaign.
