Arsenal have been one of European football’s best clubs in recent years, finally returning to the levels that made all of the continent fall in love under Arsene Wenger.

Mikel Arteta’s side is now rammed full of some of Europe’s most exciting prospects, as well as some of the best-paid players across the continent.

There’s little doubt that the London club have tried desperately to overhaul their wage structure in recent seasons, letting big-name players like Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang essentially leave the club for free in an attempt to redirect the wage bill to younger and more promising players.

However, despite Arsenal’s best efforts, there are still a number of players on big wages at the club.

Arsenal’s top earner is 2023 summer signing Kai Havertz, who is on £14.6m per season. He is followed by Gabriel Jesus, who earns just under £14m following his transfer from Man City in the summer of 2022.

In third place is another 2023 arrival in Declan Rice on £12.5m per season.

Also in double figures for wages earned per season in pounds are Martin Odegaard, Thomas Partey and Bukayo Saka.

William Saliba, Chelsea loanee Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Martinelli are not far behind.
