Arsenal want to sign Benjamin Sesko for €70m

Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko for around €70 million this summer.

The Gunners are expected to make multiple signings during the summer transfer window. A new striker remains the top priority.

The club have already opened talks to purchase Sesko, but they are reluctant to pay his release clause worth €80m.

Instead, they plan to negotiate a package in the region of €70m, as per TalkSPORT. 

Sporting director Andrea Berta has already spoken with Leipzig’s hierarchy and talks are still ongoing over payment terms for him.

Sesko registered 21 goals and six assists from 45 games for Leipzig last term. He is far from a complete player at the moment.

However, Arsenal believe in his immense potential and are determined to land him ahead of Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres.

Talks are expected to continue in the coming days and Arsenal will be hoping to sort out an agreement as soon as possible.
