Arsenal are one of the Premier League clubs interested in signing Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, according to The Telegraph.
The Gunners are expected to bolster their wide attacking department this summer and the focus could be strengthening the left wing in particular.
Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams was deemed as the priority target earlier this year, but the Spaniard is reportedly close to joining Barcelona instead.
Arsenal need to pursue a suitable alternative and reports claim that they could make a surprise approach to land Madueke from the Blues this summer.
The England international managed 16 goal contributions for the Blues last campaign. His future could be doubtful with the club’s pursuit of Jamie Gittens.
Madueke had decent success as a left-sided winger during the back end of the Blues campaign. His ability to play on either flank may have caught Arsenal‘s eye.
It remains to be seen whether the Gunners make a formal approach for the attacker. Chelsea are expected to demand at least £50m for his services.
