Roma are the least beaten defence in the top five European leagues, but Milan and Como are also in the top five, alongside Arsenal and Real Madrid.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma have the best defensive record in Europe, conceding just 16 goals in 25 league matches.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport highlights, Roma have been particularly effective at the back when Evan Ndicka was involved.
The Giallorossi have conceded 12 goals in 20 Serie A games (0.60 per game) with the Ivory Coast international on the field, but during his time at AFCON, they conceded four in five encounters (0.80 per game).
Serie A sides Milan and Como are also among the top five defences in Europe, having conceded 19 goals each in 25 matches, as many as Real Madrid in 24 La Liga games.
Premier League giants Arsenal have the best defence in England, having conceded just 20 goals in 27 rounds.
Roma sit fourth in the Serie A table with 47 points, just one more than 5th-placed Juventus and three below third-placed Napoli.
Their next match is at home against Cremonese this coming Sunday.
