Aston Villa are reportedly interested in Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Moritz Nicolas, according to Sky Germany.

It’s said that Gladbach’s goalkeeper could envision a move to a club playing in European competitions next summer.

The Rhineland club would like to keep Nicolas, but sporting director Rouven Schröder is already exploring the goalkeeping market.

Meanwhile, the Premier League club could see Nicolas as a potential successor to Emiliano Martinez’s between the posts.

Other clubs also have the 28-year-old on their shortlist, while a departure of Jonas Omlin is still planned for Gladbach.

However, there are currently no offers for the Swiss goalkeeper who has played second fiddle to Nicolas since the start of the 2025-26 season.
