Augsburg among several Bundesliga clubs courting Hofmann

A host of clubs across the Bundesrepublik are keeping tabs on the veteran midfielder.

Jonas Hofmann is attracting interest from multiple other Bundesliga sides, rumours suggest.

Sky Germany reports that four clubs from Germany’s top flight are keen on the attacking player, one of which is said to be FC Augsburg.

Hofmann is under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2027 although the 32-year-old played a barely significant role last season.

The German only amassed a total of 350 minutes of league action, which clearly angered him.

At the beginning of April, Hofmann’s agent began exploring the market after a meeting with sporting director Simon Rolfes .

According to Sky, Hofmann’s current trend is toward staying put. The right-footer wants to try his luck at Bayer again under new coach Erik ten Hag.
