Bahoya and Uzun hope Heidenheim win will spur them on to defeat Tottenham on Thursday

Two of Die Adler’s up and coming young talents spoke to the press at full-time.

Jean-Mattéo Bahoya and Can Uzun reflected on Eintracht Frankfurt’s triumph over Heidenheim this evening, with the French winger expressing his happiness regarding his performance.

“That was an important win. Victories always feel good. I’m always happy when I score a goal. Especially since it was my first home goal [in the Bundesliga].

“I didn’t have my best performance against Tottenham. The important thing was to clear my mouth and put in a better performance. I managed that. I learn from every game.

“On Thursday, we’ll do everything we can to advance. And we’ll continue to give our all to achieve the best possible position in the Bundesliga.

Turkish starlet Can Uzun singled out teammate Hugo Ekitiké for praise while also looking ahead to Die Adler’s UEFA Europa League quarter-final second-leg tie with Tottenham this week.

“It wasn’t easy, but the three points are important. We got them. That’s why we’re happy. Thanks to Hugo Ekitiké’s speed, we were able to take advantage of the transition moments. He’s doing very well, he’s very confident, and he played a very good game. 

“Hopefully, things will continue like this. I’m confident there will be plenty of action here again on Thursday. We’ll give it our all to advance,” Uzun explained.
